The authors continue to study typical opening and middlegame positions. Royal Fortress No. 2 has pawns on squares f7, g6, h7 (or f2, g3, h2), and they are usually joined by another defender – bishop on g7 (g2). This formation is called fianchetto, it is found in many popular openings, such as the Catalan Opening, King's Indian Defense, Grunfeld Defense and a number of others.  The authors analyze in detail the techniques of attack, defense and counterattack. Most examples – from the creativity of modern chess players (for example, a separate chapter is dedicated to the strongest Russian grandmaster Ian Nepomniachtchi); they are complemented by parts that have become a classical heritage. The book contains about 300 positions for independent solution, so it is not only a textbook, but also a solid problem book. Grandmaster Konstantin Chernyshov, head of the Interregional Grandmaster School in Kostroma, and his daughter International Master Natalya Kareva – experienced coaches, whose students include grandmasters and masters, champions of Russia and Europe among juniors.  The book is addressed to young chess players and their mentors.

International Master Tibor Karolyi and FIDE Master Tigran Gozalyan have prepared a major work (in two volumes) about the life and work of the 9th world chess champion Tigran Petrosyan (he held the title from 1963 to 1969).  Volume II (1963-1984) tells about Petrosyan's victory in the 1963 world title match over Mikhail Botvinnik, about the grandiose two-match confrontation with Boris Spassky in 1966 and 1969, about all his candidates' matches after losing the title – against Bobby Fischer, Viktor Korchnoi and other world-class opponents. All tournaments and matches of the second half of Petrosian's chess career are presented, up to his last performances in 1983. The authors subjected 175 complete games and fragments to an in-depth analysis (using modern computers). Not all of them have been deeply studied and commented on before, but even then the book provides a significantly improved analysis. Among Petrosyan’s opponents – world champions and contenders Kasparov, Karpov, Fischer, Spassky, Tal, Smyslov, Botvinnik, Korchnoi and Bronstein, as well as Timman, Larsen, Reshevsky, Belyavsky, Polugaevsky, Portisch, Romanishin and many others. Special attention is paid to his coaches – Alexey Suetin and Igor Zaitsev.

Brandau C. H.,famous German medic. Masonic manuscript (Moscow-from the surroundings of N. Novikov) of the end of the XVIII century of literary, philosophical and religious content, richly illustrated. Calligraphy, languages: Russian, English, French, German, ancient Greek, Latin, etc.the Drawings are executed in both paint and pen and in a mixed technique. Moscow. 1790. 144 pages in cartonage of the XVIII century, the spine is lost, binding, 20.3 x 13.3 cm.   The manuscript is written in a calligraphic handwriting in English, French, German, Russian, ancient Greek, Latin, and other languages. It is richly illustrated, and the drawings are executed with paints, pen, and mixed media. On the back of the top cover is a sticker with the inscription " From the books of the Viceroy T. S. Lavra Archim. Antonia" (1875).   The manuscript comes from the collection of Archimandrite Anthony (in the world Andrey Gavrilovich Medvedev; 1792-1877), vicar of the Trinity-Sergius Lavra, a locally venerated Saint. Manuscript of the XVIII century from the library of the Vicar of the Trinity-Sergius Lavra Archimandrite Anthony with his entry in 1875 Not the least role in the appeal of Nikolai Novikov to the organization of Moscow masons was played by personal friendship with many prominent figures of Freemasonry, common literary and public interests. He was obliged to get acquainted with M. M. Kheraskov by renting a printing house of the Moscow University. After moving to Moscow, "here he became close to the most energetic Mason of "strict observation", Professor I. E. Shvarts. Together they quickly organized a "friendly society", a "Pedagogical Seminary", a book publishing house, and a Masonic circle – a memorable decade in the history of the Russian enlightenment came, which Klyuchevsky called"Novikov".   In his book publishing, bookselling, and charitable activities in Moscow, he also constantly relied on the help, assistance, and cooperation of Freemasons, members of the "Friendly learned society" and the "Printing company". In addition, it relied on the organizational base of Freemasons. A few years after Novikov joined this movement, his book publishing, magazine, cultural, educational, and philanthropic activities took on a Grand scale. He arranged, improved, and distributed the University printing press. He developed the book trade on an extensive scale not only in Moscow, but also in other cities. Although he published in his printing houses the mystical books "Knowledge of oneself" by John Mason, the program Masonic work "Chrysomander" and many other publications of the martinists, he did not limit himself to the narrow limits of mystical and moral literature. In its huge book and magazine production of the 80's, civic, educational tendencies and motives were undivided.   Novikov paid little attention to Masonic Affairs, as he admitted more than once: "On my arrival in Moscow in 1779, I was exercised and completely occupied with printing matters, and I did not engage in Freemasonry at all." His time was more occupied with the publication of the most advanced philosophical, literary and socio-political works of the Enlightenment: satires and stories of Voltaire, prints in the" Pustomel "free-thinking work Fonvizin "Message to the servants", in the" Moscow edition "puts Diderot's article "the Philosopher" from the "Encyclopedia", expounds the ideas of Locke.
