Description:
In the first part of the book, called One Solution, and consisting of 270 positions, - the task "Mate 1 move"; the usual, one might say standard: the side whose turn is indicated below the diagram checkmates. Name of the second part – "Multiple Solutions" - speaks for itself. Each of the positions has several solutions, but the number of ways in a particular position is not indicated. The task is considered complete if all the continuations leading to the checkmate are given. And, finally, the third, last part – "No hints" - the most difficult. Again, you need to checkmate in 1 move, only now it is not indicated who owns the turn of the move, nor the number of ways to be found. In addition, in some positions, "mutual" mate, i.e. both White and Black can checkmate. For these positions, the decision should indicate all methods of mating for both sides. Such a minimal amount of preliminary information in the examples from the third part creates the prerequisites for a more thorough study of the position, teaches you to follow the peculiarities of the location of not only someone else's, but also your own king. This manual will allow a novice chess player to consolidate the rules of the game with the help of specific tasks, to better understand how the pieces interact with each other, and also to get acquainted with pinning and overlapping, open attack and double check, i.e. with those chess tricks that are often found in the game.
